June 11 would have been the 73rd birthday of notorious American Mobster and FBI Informant Henry Hill. Hill was an Irish-Italian boy from Brooklyn, NY who got caught up with the Luchese crime family. As his career as a Mobster progressed, Hill was involved in hiding a lot of bodies (literally and metaphorically) as well as the notorious Lufthansa Heist at John F. Kennedy Airport in 1978. Hill turned FBI informant after being arrested in 1980 on drug charges and entered the witness protection program, though he would not stay very hidden. To learn more about Hill, check out the classic mobster movie Goodfellas and the book on which it was based Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family by Nicholas Pileggi. Hill died in 2012 of heart disease complicated by life-long smoking, drinking, and drugs.
